I'm Light Divine, the designer and maker. My purpose for this brand is to bring a glimpse of paradise to your doorstep while protecting the beauty and wonders of the world around us. 

Talk of being more eco-conscious is often dismissed not due to lack of care, but a lack of understanding. It’s hard to picture Co2 emissions and the impact of textile based water pollution when looking at the most beautiful autumn dress you’ve ever seen. So rather than delving into the depressing statistics and asking you to give up fast fashion forever, I’d like to offer you a simple alternative.

There are many designers and brands, myself included, who do our best to minimize our waste through creative means. Like saving our fabric scraps to create cute earrings, or stuff pillows, or make scrunchies! We also aim to use as much second-hand fabric as we can, curtains turn into ball gowns, bed sheets into the skirt of the summer! While the prices of some garments may be higher due to the inflation of thrift store pricing, we often receive donations of fabric which helps cut the cost of some of our creations. 

I, personally, use my fabric scraps to create jewelry and accessories, and reflect the cost of donated fabric in my pricing. And there are many other small brands that do the same. Once you find the small brands that fit your vibe and budget, you'll never look back.
